C2 – Section: Enhancing the Command and Control capabilities of Section Commanders
C2 – Section is a module of Rolta BMS Section. It contains tools that empower the Section commanders with Planning, Decision Support and Control Functions.
Command and Control is the exercise of authority and direction by a properly designated Commander over assigned forces in the accomplishment of the mission. Rolta’s C2 Section is a collection of Tools that empowers the Section commanders with Planning, Decision Support, & Control Functions. It is custom-built with a light & responsive embedded GIS Engine to meet the needs of Section Commanders in the Indian Army’s combat echelons at the forward edge of the battlefield.
Decision Support Tools
- Display of fused entities sent by the Platoon Cdr
- Generate alerts on operational health status of casualty state
- Generate alerts on operational health status of sub units/dets based on fuel for mounted mode only
- Generation of immediate alerts about specific operationally important inputs such as bridge demolitions/ landslides to all concerned for mounted mode only
Planning Tools
- Route planning based on Terrain and Int inputs of Enemy
- Cartographic Tools for basic linear measurements, slope, bearing, azimuth & Free hand drawings
Control Functions
- Palette of just required Indian Tactical Military Symbols (friendly, hostile and neutral)
- Graphical overlays to create diagrammatic plans, orders etc using simple tactical drawings like arrows
- A user friendly messaging module to send and receive different type of text & graphical messages with prioritization
- Cater for video streaming for all mounted forces and only for 2 persons equipped with SDR
- Storage of records of messages received during the mission with Date Time Stamp
- Enable modification of AoR by authorized entities
